How to Play Minigolf World

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select the play button on the lower right corner of the screen to begin; selecting the play button after you’ve already played the game before will clear your previous game data. Upon reloading the game, select the double play button to open the level selection screen. From there, select an unlocked level number to begin.

Select and drag to pan around the course. Select the ball, and pull back to aim and charge your stroke. Release to hit the ball.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Your goal in each course is to get the ball in the hole within as few strokes as possible. The primary number needed to beat each level and receive 3 stars is called par. The par number for each level is shown at the top right corner of the screen. You hit a birdie if you finish a game below par. Regardless of whether you finish at par, you beat the level whenever the ball sinks into the hole.

Your score and star rating is based on whether you reach par. Meeting par earns you 5,000 points for that level and the full 3 stars. Using more strokes than necessary leads to lower points and star ratings, whereas hitting a birdie will grant you 1,000 points more plus 3 stars.

The game has 18 levels, corresponding to the number of holes in real-world golf. These are unlocked sequentially. Your web browser automatically saves your level progress. You can replay any of the levels you’ve unlocked to earn a higher score and star rating.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

If you want to redo a level you’re currently playing, select the reset button on the top right corner of the game screen or quit to the level selection screen and proceed to the level selection screen.

The game’s difficulty increases sharply as you progress through the levels. A few levels will demand you shoot from specific places (e.g. right at the bottom of ramps) to finish the game at par. Others feature tricky paths that provide only narrow paths to keep going.

Always pan around the level when you begin before making your first stroke. This way, you can anticipate the hazards you face and what you need to do to overcome them. And if you’re having a hard time, feel free to finish the level at a poor score and come back to it later.
