How to Play Metaverse Dash Run

Select by left clicking with your mouse or tapping on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen. select the play button at the center to begin.

Your character starts moving forward (i.e. to the right) automatically. Jump by pressing on the space bar, up arrow key, or W key on a keyboard, left clicking with your mouse, or tapping on the touchscreen with your fingers.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Your goal is to keep running as long as possible. Jump over obstacles like ATMs, broken robots, and trash to maintain your distance from the angry purple gorilla. Each time you hit an obstacle, the gorilla catches up. Falling off the pits also counts as a hit. Each time you fall off a pit, you receive a temporary shield. After three hits, the gorilla catches you; game over.

You earn points as you move forward. Your web browser automatically saves your game progress. You can compare your latest and best scores on the game over screen.

Collect power ups to give you an edge over your opponent. Each power up has a different effect, which lasts for a few seconds. The game offers the following power-ups.

• The star allows you to fly up and down and makes you invincible for its duration. Upon its completion, you receive a temporary shield upon landing.
• The blue shield keeps you from taking damage when running into obstacles, though it doesn’t protect you from falling.
• The magnet collects nearby coins that are too far away for you to directly collect.
• The 2x icon doubles the value of the coins you collected.
• The lightning bolt speeds you up.

To upgrade the power ups, collect coins along the way. Select the shopping cart button on the game over screen to open up the power up screen. Select the power up’s icon to upgrade it. The power ups can be upgraded 10 times, with each upgrade being more costly than the last. Fully upgrading one power up costs 1,725 coins, with every power up upgrade costing 8,625 coins in total.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Prioritize paying for the most useful power ups during your first playthroughs. The best power ups in the early game are the star, the blue shield, and the magnet. The star and the shield protect you from early game overs by protecting you from obstacles. Likewise, the magnet lets you collect more coins without getting near them, allowing you to choose safer paths that may not always the coins on them.

The least useful power up is the lightning bolt, which makes it harder for you to move around.
