Basic Gameplay Advice
Basic Rules
You play as a wizard sent to clear a maze-like dungeon of monsters. Move from one side to the next to cast your spell on the opposite direction. The caveat is that, likely due to recoil from your spell, you will only stop moving once you hit a wall or other obstacle.
Plan your moves around so you are always in line with the monsters before you shoot them. Avoid moving toward the monsters; if you do, you die.
Features
The dungeon’s many levels have a host of features, some of which are hazardous. Shooters and spikes are a common hazard in many levels. Shooters will blast at you with projectiles while spikes will impale you when you cross them. Move past the shooters at the right time to avoid getting shot. Meanwhile, try to avoid moving towards spikes altogether.
There are two kinds of objects that can serve as stoppers. One are columns, which are functionally no different from walls. The other are temporary blocks, which serve the same function but disappear once hit. In most cases, you can use them to align yourself with the monsters. Sometimes, though, you might need to get rid of them to align with or find a path toward your foes.
Levels
The game has 14 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. You can replay any of the levels you’ve previously beaten.
Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy
The order you slay the enemies is important. In some levels, there is an enemy you must shoot down first as you wouldn’t be able to hit them any other time. Other levels require you to hit some enemies last. For instance, it is occasionally impossible to avoid spikes when targeting a particular enemy. In this case, save this foe for last. This way, your beam will shoot down your foe before you hit the spike, clearing the level without a game over.
At times, you’ll need to circle the level several times to shoot several enemies in rapid succession and remove temporary blocks that stand in your way. Do be careful. Avoid prematurely hitting a temporary block you’ll need to reorient yourself or set up a shot.
Sometimes, a level becomes impossible to beat because you committed a mistake. When this happens, you can either die on purpose or restart the level using the reset button on the top right corner.
Educational Aspects
This game encourages players to employ methodical, strategic thinking. Players must plot out their course of movement based on what they know of the level’s layout to get a clear shot at each monster.
Player Age Recommendations
This game is suitable for school-aged players and above. We recommend this for players who enjoy obstacle course-style slide puzzle games.
