Love Bears is a drawing-based path-making game where you play matchmaker to a pair of lovestruck bears. Help the lovers meet by drawing a safe path for them to pass through. Get a high rating for doing all of that in as few lines as possible.

How to Play Love Bears

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select the play button at the center to begin.

Draw by selecting, then moving your mouse or fingers. Release your selection to stop.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Basic Rules

The goal of each level is to bring the two bears together. Draw a line that connects the bears or triggers one to roll toward the other. The path you draw must be anchored well so it doesn’t fall off the platform. The level is set in motion once you deselect the first time; although you can add more lines to after this, you often need to draw one line to meet your goal.

To finish the level, the two bears must touch one another. You will fail if the bears fall off a platform or are otherwise kept from meeting each other. If that happens, you must start over.

Episodes & Levels

The game is divided into 4 themed episodes (pirates, sleeping, vacation, and mimes and clowns), which can be played in any order. Only the aesthetic appearance of each episode; the physics remain largely the same. Each episode has 40 levels, bringing the level total to 160.

Each level has a star rating, which is based on the amount of lines you’ve drawn to finish the level. The shorter the lines you’ve used, the higher your rating will be. The highest star rating you can receive is 3 stars.

Unlike episodes, levels are unlocked sequentially. You can replay any of the levels you’ve previously unlocked. We recommend replaying levels to earn higher star ratings.

Level Features

Some levels have pink blocks, which will fall down and potentially block the bears from one another. They do not harm the bears otherwise and move in much the same way. In levels where they are present, you must draw a cover around the bears to keep the blocks from falling in between them.

A few levels have pits, which will cause the bears to fall off. If the bears roll off the pits, you fail the level.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Make sure your likes are well anchored. A well-anchored line fits snugly into whatever it’s attached to without going through any item onscreen.

If you ever find yourself having a hard time with a level, consider finishing it with a lower star level and coming back again. A bit of time away from the level can help clear your head enough to find alternative solutions when you try again.

While most levels only need a singular line, other levels require several ones. In some levels, you need to draw one line to get the bears moving and draw subsequent lines afterward. Likewise, there can be moments where the bears appear stuck and can’t otherwise reach one another. A small line segment can give one of them enough of a nudge to reach one another.
