How to Play Lonely Skullboy

Press the play button in the bottom center of the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen. Select a level number and press the start game button in the lower right corner of the level select screen.

Move left by pressing the A key or the left arrow key.

Move right by pressing the D key or the right arrow key.

Jump by pressing the W key, the up arrow key, or the space bar. When you have the double jump skill active press twice to double jump.

When you have the associated power ups active, press the down key or the J button to teleport through walls or to throw a bone.

Basic Gameplay Advice

The goal of the game is to get skullboy safely to the warp portal on each level. Avoid running into spikes, or clouds or you die. Also, when you teleport you have to make sure you do not teleport into a wall segment or hazards, or else that will also lead to an immediate death.

Pick up the power up items to enable features like double jump, teleportation, or bone throwing. Some stages have multiple power ups, though you can only have one activated at a time. Your active ability is shown in text at the top center of the screen.

• The double jump power up feature first becomes available on stage 3.
• The teleport power up feature first becomes available on stage 8.
• The bone throwing power up feature first becomes available on stage 14.

This game has 16 stages which are unlocked sequentially.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

You have to fake the direction you want to teleport for it to work as planned. You do not need to be directly adjacent to the wall and can have a bit of clearance space.

Some jumps over spikes lead to hitting your head on the ceiling. If you have double jump active you can jump again to get a bit more airtime. Similarly, if using both parts of a double jump right away would lead to hitting your head you can instead jump once and wait a bit to perform the second jump.

Some parts of the stages require quick movement through them to not get hit. Try to rest in between them so that you have optimal timing when going through the next hard part.
