How to Play Karate Chop Kick

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select the play button on the bottom center to begin.

Select anywhere to chop in that direction. The karateka will move from one side of the screen to the next depending on where you select.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Have the karateka chop down the tree at the appropriate side. If a branch is approaching, switch sides and chop there to avoid getting hit by it. Keep chopping down the tree for as long as the timer allows. The timer on the top center gradually expires but is refilled each time you chop down a section of the tree. The game ends when the timer expires or the karateka is struck by a branch.

You earn points based on the number of tree sections you’ve chopped down. Your web browser automatically saves your best score. You can compare your best and latest scores on the game over screen. You can also view your best scores on the leaderboard by selecting the bars button on the bottom left corner of the game over screen or the bottom right corner of the welcome screen.

As you play the game, you get the option to unlock new players. Each of the two extra players is unlocked when you reach a specific best score or cumulatively chopped down a specific number of sections. You can view the characters by selecting the character button on the bottom left corner of the welcome screen or the bottom right corner of the game over screen.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Chop quickly when no branch is on your current side but slow down slightly when a branch appears on your side. Switch as soon as no branch appears on your side, then resume. Pick up speed again when the side is clear.

Work with caution when you need to switch from one side to the next in rapid succession. Sometimes you need to switch at the last possible minute to avoid hitting a branch.
