This game was published by Zygomatic, which also published Flower Shop and Flower Shop 2.
How to Play Jewel Shop
To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select Play at the center right to open the level selection screen. From there, select an unlocked level to begin.
Basic Gameplay Advice
Basic Rules
Take the customer’s jewelry orders and deliver the items to them as quickly as possible. Customers have a limited amount of patience when making their orders and waiting for them. This is indicated by the grayed-out areas of their speech balloons. Should the customers lose patience, they will leave without paying.
Fulfill the target number of customer orders for the level before the timer runs out. The orders are counted as fulfilled once you collect the money.
Order Process
Select the incoming customer to take their order. Select the machine, then select the article of jewelry they ordered from the menu. Select the order button to restock the machine. Once you have the item the customer wants, select them again to deliver their order. Select the money they leave behind to collect it. If you make a mistake, toss out the jewelry item onto the recycling chest.
Most machines have the items ready for pickup at the start and only need to be restocked once you take the first item away. Gem cabinets, meanwhile start unstocked and must be stocked before you can grab any items from them,
As the game progresses, the number of machines you need to use increases. Some orders require you to assemble jewelry made from different parts, which you must put together in the assembly machine. A table appears from Level 6 onwards that lets you put two items in storage for later use.
Levels & Scoring
The game has 10 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. You can replay each level you’ve beaten by selecting its icon on the level selection screen. Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
You receive a number of points (represented as cash) based on the items you sell and the metals and gems used to create them. Jewelry made of gold, for instance, is more expensive than its equivalent in silver. You also receive 12 points for every second left on the timer.
Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy
You do not need to wait until the order animation is finished to get the customer’s order. Once you select them, you’ll receive the order. This gives you ample time to attend to other things, such as collecting payments, restocking machines, and fulfilling other customer orders.
You receive no penalty from dissatisfied customers. If a customer is about to lose their patience and there’s hardly any time to reach them, don’t bother fulfilling their order and instead focus on the others. Tossing out orders you don’t need anymore wastes your time.
From Level 6 onward, take advantage of the table at the center of the screen to put items in storage before you need to assemble them. This will free you up to fulfill simpler orders while the parts needed for complex orders are still being acquired.
Educational Aspects
This game hones a player’s pattern matching and time management skills. Players are rewarded for staying organized and prioritizing orders based on urgency and complexity.
Player Age Recommendations
This game is suited for older school-aged players and above. We recommend this game for players who relish the challenge of fast-paced time-management business sims.
