How to Play Isometric Lamps Move

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. To load the welcome screen, select anywhere on the loading screen. Select the play button at the center of the welcome screen to open the level selection screen. From the level selection screen, select the icon of any unlocked level to get started.

On a desktop device, use the WASD or arrow keys to move:

• Press the W key or the up arrow key to move diagonally to the upper right.
• Press the S key or the down arrow key to move diagonally to the lower left.
• Press the A key or the left arrow key to move diagonally to the upper left.
• Press the D key to the right arrow key move diagonally to the lower right.

On a touchscreen device, tap on the onscreen controls with your fingers.

Basic Gameplay Advice

The game follows the standard rules of any Sokoban game, just with the view angle changed. Move the square lamps by pushing them from behind. Bring the lamps to the sockets to light them up. Finish the level by bringing all the bulbs to the sockets.

When a block hits a wall, it cannot move except in a direction parallel to it. To keep the block moving. you’ll need to find enough space. You can get stuck in the game by trapping the bulbs in a position where you can’t push them (such as corners or another block without sufficient space). When this happens, the level becomes unwinnable. Select the reset button on the top right corner of the screen to start the level from the beginning.

The game has 16 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. You can replay any of the levels you’ve already beaten. Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

The game turns the Sokoban formula on its head by making the standard playing grid isometric. This arrangement can throw off new players and challenge seasoned Sokoban players. The levels in the game also leave very little room for error, which can be especially frustrating for newbies.

If you’re new to Sokoban, learning this basic tip around classic Sokoban can help ease you into this game. First off, understand that short direct paths (i.e. the ones likely to be obvious) are not always the best ones. The layout of the level and the move limitations you have mean that your movement patterns must occasionally be quite roundabout.

It may take a while to solve some of the more complex later levels. Be patient. Trial and error could be your greatest ally.
