Idle Egg Farmer is a basic idle farm simulator. Scale up the operations of an egg farm by reinvesting your profits toward expansion. Level up your fields to raise more animals and generate greater profits.

This game was developed by MarketJS. Its gameplay is similar to another game on our site, Farm Factory, only unlike that game, this doesn’t have a time limit.

How to Play Idle Egg Farmer

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select the play button to begin.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Basic Rules

Select the egg on the nest at the left side of each field to add a new animal. The animal will cycle between the water trough and the coop to lay an egg. The number of animals you can add to a field are based on its level. The higher your level, the more animals you can place. A field can have a maximum of 15 animals at any given time, though it can be leveled up further than that.

From there, the game is largely autonomous. The animals will produce eggs that the conveyor will ship toward the packing house, which will send trucks to sell the eggs at the market. You receive cash from the eggs depending on the number and value of the eggs sold. You can select the animals or the trucks to make them briefly move faster.

Leveling Up

Your main goal is to level up your operations to bolster your income and expand your farm. To level up, select the level up button. This appears in the top right corner of each field, at the top of the conveyor, and at the top right corner of the game screen.

Leveling up the fields increases its productivity and allows you to add more animals in it. Leveling up the conveyor, meanwhile, increases the price of the eggs and the speed the conveyor and the trucks move. You must constantly upgrade both as the game progresses to ensure a steady cash flow for expansion.

Fields can be upgraded until they reach Level 30. Once you’ve fully leveled up a farm, you have the option to reset it. Resetting a field will remove all its animals and levels, but move it up a star rating. Higher-rated fields will produce more eggs than their lower-rated counterparts. Repeat the process of upgrading the field and reset to reach the next star rating. The highest star rating you can get is 3 stars.

Expansion

Once you’ve earned enough cash, you can also upgrade the farm itself. Upgrading the farm will allow you to buy more fields. The amount you need to level up the entire farm appears to the left of the upgrade button. You only need to reach a cash value to upgrade; you will not spend the money once you’ve leveled up.

As you upgrade the farm, you gain the ability to buy more fields. Fields are unlocked each time you reach a specific farm level. Once you’ve purchased a field, you must wait some time before you can add animals to it. Each new field you buy contains a different species of animal, many of which do not lay eggs in real life.

The game has a total of 8 fields:

• Ducks are unlocked when you start the game.
• Rabbits are unlocked in 5 seconds for $3,000 after you reach game level 3.
• Pigs are unlocked in 1 minute for $180,000 after you reach level 10.
• Cats are unlocked in 1:30 seconds for $2,400,000 after you reach level 15.
• Grizzly bears are unlocked in 2:00 for $30,000,000 after you reach level 21.
• Racoons are unlocked in 2:30 for $360,000,000 after you reach level 28.
• Parrots are unlocked in 3 minutes for $3,000,000,000 after you reach level 36.
• Beavers are unlocked in 3:30 for $30,000,000,000 after you reach level 45.

Each field can go through 3 rounds of upgrades through 30 levels, with a star in the upper left representing each completed upgrade round. Fields can hold a total of 15 animals each, with a star indicator atop each animal for levels 16 through 30 on each.

Earnings

The standard way of earning money is by selling eggs. Scaling up your operations using the funds you already have is key to increasing the money you wake through egg production. By the late game, this will become your primary means of making money. On occasion, you can give your earnings a boost by selecting either the multiplier or Fever Time buttons:

• The Fever Time Button appears on the top right corner. Selecting this will speed up your production process for 3 minutes.
• The Multiplier Button appears on the top left corner and doubles your earnings for 10 minutes.

In the early game, however, you can give your egg enterprise a quick flush of cash through these means means:

• Catch the golden egg
• Select an animal with a coin above
• Receive a reward for upgrading your farm

Once you’ve set up your farm, you will receive bonus coins each time you return to the game after closing it for awhile. The amount you receive when returning depends on the time you’ve been offline.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

In the early game, we recommend keeping your fields full of animals to max capacity to give you a steady source of income. This will allow you to steadily expand and grow at a useful pace.

Unlike in Farm Factory, the animals do not gradually die over the course of regular gameplay. They are, however, removed each time you need to reset the fields after leveling them up to 30. When doing this, consider leaving them empty as you do before adding animals to them. Wait until you can upgrade the field to the maximum star level before adding more animals. Moreover, be sure to do this one at a time to keep your income flowing.

Educational Aspects

The game is a business sim at its core and teaches the importance of reinvesting profits to scale up an enterprise. That said, it isn’t a complete simulation as it leaves out things like demand or operational expenses.

The game is suited for players school-aged and above. We recommend this game for fans of simple idle tycoon games.
