Hood in the Woods is a platforming logic puzzle game where players lay flowers which cause the character to change directions, jump, or pause. Safely make it to the cave to advance to the next stage.

How to Play Hood in the Woods

Press the brown and gray play button in the lower center of the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen. Tap on a level number to play it.

On each stage players are given a limited number of flowers. Select the flower icons in the lower left, then tap on the screen where you want to play them, and then tap on the character to send them running on the path.

Some flowers should be laid before putting the character in motion, while other flowers need to be placed after the character has started their journey.

Basic Gameplay Advice

This game features 20 stages which are unlocked sequentially. Make it safely to the cage to advance to the next level.

Each stage has a total of 3 stars on it which you can collect, though you do not need to grab every star in order to complete a stage.

The flowers state what they allow the character to do right under them: change direction, jump, stop.

• Changing directions is often just before spikes after grabbing a star, though can be in other spots.
• Jumps are for clearing gaps in platforms. Sometimes the character needs two consecutive jumps to make it to a significantly higher platform.
• Stops are for placing right before the spears which come out then retract. When the character stops you can tap on her to get her moving again.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

On most stages you typically need to use all of the flowers to complete the path while collecting all the stars, though in some cases there are clever alternative paths which allow you to collect all 3 stars and make it safely into the cave with flowers left over.

Try to lay any flowers which you know need to be placed and won’t be triggered accidentally before sending little red riding hood in motion. Ensure you have the correct flowers selected to play while she is in motion. Sometimes you can patiently make flower placements while she is paused near a spike.

Sometimes it makes sense to place the change directions command off platform out to the side so she changes directions while falling through midair.

Each time you play the character runs at roughly the same speed, so if you are off with a placement on one play you can slightly adjust it for the next.
