Basic Gameplay Advice
Basic Rules
The game starts with a tutorial. You can either let it play or select Skip the tutorial, I’m a pro to proceed with the game as normal. The tutorial will only play once.
You automatically move forward. Move from side to side to stay on the path and avoid plummeting off gaps. Move toward ramps to make large jumps across wide chasms. Pass through milkshakes and power ups to collect them.
You earn points as you move forward. The longer you move, the higher your score will be. Your web browser automatically saves your best score.
Obstacles
A variety of obstacles will appear throughout the game. These include fences, green walls, saw blades, pounding cylinders and spikes. Avoid hitting obstacles as best you can. You have one chance to resume playing after you are hit the first time. Upon getting hit the second time, the game ends. You can replay the game as many times as you want.
You can either dodge, slide under, or jump over obstacles. Which course of action you’ll take depends on the height of the obstacle. Obstacles that are too tall or move in any way (up and down or side to side) are better off dodged. Rolling is meant for obstacles with low headroom but plenty of space at the bottom.
Each time you hit an obstacle, your character moves in slow motion. Select Skip Slow Motion to either try again or end the session.
Milkshakes
Milkshakes serve as the game’s currency. Each milkshake you pick up over the course of gameplay is worth 1 point and is subject to a 2x multiplier each time you fill up the yellow meter near the top right corner. The number of individual milkshakes you collect appears on the top center of the screen, whereas the number of points you’ve earned appears on the top right corner.
You can also earn milkshakes from finishing achievements and by collecting the daily bonus. Select the gift button on the welcome screen or game over screen. to open the daily bonus menu. Daily bonuses reward you with an increasing number of milkshakes for every consecutive day you load the game for up to five days. You receive 5 milkshakes on the first day, 10 on the second, 15 on the third, 25 on the fourth, and 50 on the fifth.
Power ups
The game has four power ups, which will give you a temporary bonus for a few seconds. These are as follows:
- The invincible shield protects you from harm whenever you hit an obstacle.
- The flying jetpack increases your speed and lets you cross gaps and chasms without falling down.
- The coin magnet collects nearby milkshakes.
- The double milkshake increases the value of every milkshake you collect.
With the exception of the double milkshake, power ups are activated when they are picked up. You also receive an invincible shield when you replay after hitting an obstacle for the first time. Double milkshakes are activated when the yellow bar is full. It increases each time you collect a milkshake and decreases over time.
Use the milkshakes to upgrade your power ups. Select the up arrow button on the welcome and game over screens to open the power up upgrade menu. Each upgrade you purchase increases the duration of every power up by a few seconds.
Achievements
The game has 151 different achievements, which are unlocked over the course of play. Each accomplishment you reach rewards you with milkshakes. You can keep track of the accomplishments you’ve won on the achievements menu, which you can open by selecting the star button on either the welcome screen or the game over screen. Select the claim button beside each achievement you’ve unlocked to redeem your reward.
Cards & Characters
There are 14 extra characters to play as in this game, of which 1 is ready to be unlocked at the start. To unlock the rest, you must use cards to charge them up. Cards are generated at random; selecting the two card options creates random cards that fill up each character’s card profile. When the character’s card profile is charged, they are unlocked and become playable. You can also earn cards by playing minigames.
Select the cards button on the welcome and game over screens to view your unlocking progress at the cards menu. Select Get More Cards at the bottom center of the cards menu to open the two card generation options.
- Selecting Basic Loot gives you one card. This has a charge time of 1 minute.
- Selecting Premium Loot gives you 10 cards after watching an ad. This has a charge time of 2 minutes.
You can browse through the characters you’ve unlocked by selecting the left and right arrows next to the active character on the welcome screen. When you select the play button, the active character will be the one you play as.
Minigames
Select the minigames button on the top right corner of the screen to play one of four mini games that will provide you with a significant bonus of 100 milkshakes if you win. You can replay each of these games once every 24 hours.
There are four mini games to play.
- Guess the Number: Use the number pad onscreen to type in a number. The game will mention if you got the number right or wrong. Whenever you’re wrong, it will indicate if you need to make your guesses higher or lower.
- Match the Cards: Select one card, then select another to attempt to match it. If both are identical, they will be cleared from the screen. Otherwise, they return face down. Repeat the process until all 8 cards are down.
- Grimelda Says: Memorize the sequence of shapes flashed onscreen, then select the shapes in the order they appeared in the sequence. Repeat the process for 3 rounds to win.
- Maze Challenge: Move the zombie clown across the maze and reach the milkshake at the end.
Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy
Try to respond to the oncoming hazards as soon as they get close. Unless you’re trying to dodge, do not move too early or too late.
Use the milkshakes you’ve earned to upgrade your power ups as soon as you can. We recommend upgrading the flying jetpack first, as it provides you a huge speed boost as well as negating the need to worry about chasms.
Educational Aspects
This game hones a player’s response times and hand-eye coordination.
Player Age Recommendations
This game is suited for school-aged players and above. Although the game is relatively easy, its graphics contain depictions of gore ill-suited for younger players. We recommend this game for players who like endless running games.
