Grenade Toss is a level destruction physics game. As a soldier out in No Man’s Land, toss grenades and take out the soldiers hidden in the trenches.

How to Play Grenade Toss

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. Select the play button at the center of the welcome screen to open the level selection screen. Select an unlocked level to begin.

Move your mouse or fingers to aim. Select and drag to charge your shot, then release to toss the grenade.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Use the grenades you have on hand to take out all the enemies in the trenches and platforms around the level. Aim your shots with care to deliver the grenades to your foes or knock out obstacles that stand in the way. The grenade will only explode if it hits level ground near an object or an enemy; it will be considered out of bounds if it goes offscreen in any direction.

To clear the level, all your enemies must be slain. You will fail the level if you run out of grenades before the last enemy dies.

You receive a star rating based on how you performed in the level. The fewer grenades it took to clear the level, the higher your star rating will be. The highest star rating you can receive is 3 stars. Check the rating meter on the bottom center of the screen to see how many stars you might still earn if you finish the level.

The game has 30 levels, which have their own star rating. Levels are unlocked sequentially; you can replay any of the levels you’ve previously beaten. Replaying levels is recommended especially if you want to increase your previous star rating.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

In some of the levels, the grenades can be used to knock enemies off wherever they’re standing.

Use the level’s structure to your advantage. Some elements of the level, such as spinning wooden planks and pairs of wooden planks tied together can be used to extend your grenade’s reach. Likewise, explosives can also be used to increase the destructive power of each shot you make.

You do not need to blow up an enemy to take them out. You can use the grenades to knock enemies off their platforms or other objects like boxes to do the same thing. If an enemy falls off a bottomless pit, they’re as good as dead.

Remember not to be too frugal with your shots in complex levels. Sometimes, you’ll need to shoot grenades one after another to take out all your enemies.

This game hones players’ aiming skills. It also encourages them to be economical with their resources and choose decisions that will maximize the damage dealt per grenade.
