How to Play Going Nuts

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the loading screen, select Start at the center to open the welcome screen. On the welcome screen, select the play button on the bottom center to open the level selection screen. If you’ve played the game before, select the play button on the bottom left to start a new game and select the double play button on the bottom right to resume from where you left off. On the level selection screen, select an unlocked level’s number to begin.

Select and drag to aim your squirrel, then release to drop.

Basic Gameplay Advice

This game plays very similar to pachinko. Your task is to have each squirrel you drop collect as many nuts as possible. Beat each level by meeting or exceeding the target number of nuts shown on the top left corner. Each level ends when you run out of squirrels. Should you fail to collect the right number of nuts, you will fail the level.

Each nut you collect is worth 1 point. The baskets at the bottom of the screen apply a multiplier to each nut based on its proximity to the center. If the squirrel collects 5 nuts lands on the leftmost or rightmost baskets (which have a 25x multiplier), you will receive 125 points. Your score is cumulative across every level you play. The points you earn from replaying a level is also added to your total score.

The game has 10 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. You can replay any of the levels you’ve previously beaten. Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.

The squirrels you drop must fall down and hit pegs and platforms as they fall to move in a specific direction. You have no control over where the squirrels fall past the place you drop them. The arrangement of pegs, platforms, and spinning elements in each level become more complex as the level progresses.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Choose the spot where you drop the squirrel with care. You have no control over where it falls, so choose a location where its likely path will go through as many nuts as possible. Sometimes, choosing a spot requires pinpoint accuracy, as even a slight change in where the squirrel hits can change its overall trajectory.

Meeting the level quota can be challenging. To make things easier, try to aim for a specific number of nuts you must collect per drop. Divide the number of squirrels you have with the target number you need to clear the level. Every drop you make must collect at least that many nuts.
