Basic Gameplay Advice
Stars
The upper right corner of the screen shows how many stars there are on the stage, and how many you have collected so far. Some stars can be hidden behind boxes.
Collect all of the stars on each stage to make the key appear, then pass through the gate to the next stage.
Some stages contain multiple sets of gates, with you requiring to collect a portion of the stars for the associated gate key to appear, then the other gate key appears after you finish collecting all the keys.
Colored Boxes
You can only push a single box at a time, and you must be more than one square away to have the momentum to push a box.
- Red boxes disappear when hit with you stopping a square before them.
- Green boxes move a single square at a time when hit.
- Dark blue boxes are pushed across the screen until they hit into something.
Stages
The game features 75 stages which are unlocked sequentially. After you pass through the gate you automatically move onto the next stage.
Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy
When you first start a stage if there are more stars to be collected than are seen that means some of the stars are hidden behind boxes. You can break or slide boxes in almost any order to try to figure out where the stars are. When you have collected all the stars you will also see where the key is located, which can help you determine what order you need to collect stars in and what path you must take to get to the key before going through the newly unlocked gate.
If you are having trouble figuring out how to make it to the gate you can work backward from what items are parallel with it or one row or column off of it, so you can find where you need to wind up the step prior.
Educational Aspects
This game can help players improve their problem-solving skills and boost spatial awareness, while helping players also get better at noticing patterns.
Player Age Recommendations
This game is a good fit for gamers in middle school and beyond. The first few levels are easy enough for young kids to complete them, though the difficulty level ramps rather quickly in this game.
