Fruit Slice Game Review
Fruit Slice Game Background
Fruit Slice is a ricochet-based fruit cutting game. Aim and shoot a shuriken (ninja star) down the container to slice all the fruits within. Slice all the fruits within in a single shot to clear each level.
The gameplay is similar to Thorn and Balloons.
How to Play Fruit Slice
To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select the play button near the center of the welcome screen to load the level selection screen. Choose a level from the level selection screen to get started.
Select and pull back to aim and charge your shot, then release at the right moment to shoot. The shuriken or ninja star moves in the direction opposite of where you launch.
You have one shot to take out all the fruits in the container. Shoot all the fruits to clear the level. If you fail, you can either hit the reset button immediately or wait until the game over screen appears. The game allows you to try again infinite times.
Basic Gameplay Advice
The game has 90 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. The level selection screen is divided into 3 sections; select the arrows on the left and right center edge to browse through each section. You can replay any of the levels you’ve already beaten.
Levels vary in complexity. Some levels have no moving parts and can easily be resolved by shooting at the correct angle. Others have moving barriers; you must time your shots right so that the shuriken gets past the barrier or uses it to bounce at the right angle.
Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy
Shoot with the right amount of power. If your shot is too strong, there’s a chance you may overshoot and miss.
The level’s geometry can assist you. Shoot the shuriken in such a way that it bounces around the walls in the desired direction. You can even use moving platforms to your advantage if you time your moves just right.
Sometimes, you must rely on trial and error. Shoot the shuriken at different angles and see where it goes. Make adjustments each time you think you’re getting close and avoid angles you know aren’t going anywhere.
Educational Aspects
This game tests a players observational skills, aim, and timing. Beating complex levels requires players to observe their previous actions to avoid past mistakes and refine your aim. Because of its element of trial and error, this game is also an exercise in patience.
Player Age Recommendations
This is a puzzle game that’s easy to get into but challenging to master. We recommend it for older children and adults who want some engaging difficulty in their idle games.
