Frogga is a simple cross-the-road game inspired by the 1981 retro classic Frogger. Help a frog cross various obstacles to reach the other side and back. Cross the roads at the right time to avoid getting run over. Hop on and off lily pads and logs at the right time to get past rivers.

How to Play Frogga

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select the play button at the center of the screen to begin.

On the desktop, use your mouse or keyboard to move. To move with your mouse, left click and drag to the desired direction to move. On the keyboard, press the up arrow key to move forward and press the left and right arrow keys to move from side to side.

On a touchscreen device, tap on the screen with your fingers and swipe as you would with a mouse. Tap and swipe up to move forward, and tap and swipe left or right to move horizontally.

You cannot move backwards in this game.

Basic Gameplay Advice

This game combines elements of Frogger with that of Crossy Road. Your goal is to keep moving forward for as long as possible. Along the way, you encounter two major obstacles: roads and rivers

Roads have vehicle traffic moving through them. To get across them safely, you must move when the vehicles aren’t present as quickly as you can. Rivers, meanwhile, have strong currents and can only be crossed if you hop on logs or lily pads. You will die if you get run over by a vehicle or fall into the water. The game will also end if you fail to get off the log or lily pad in time.

A few safe lanes exist between roads and rivers. These can be useful if you need to know where you should cross. Some of these are obstructed by trees and bushes.

Each lane you cross is worth 1 point. Your web browser automatically saves your best score, which appears on the game over screen.

You can pick up coins along the way. Use the coins you’ve earned to unlock new color skins the store screen. There are 4 other frog colors to unlock.You can access the store screen by selecting the shopping cart button to the lower right corner of the play button on the welcome screen.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

The game, unlike Crossy Road, does not have a time limit. Take all the time you need to plan out where you need to cross at the lanes where no danger exists.

Use the safe lanes to change the direction you need to go. From here, you can choose where you can hop. This is particularly important for streams, as anything blocking your way can keep you from hopping off the log.
