How to Play Crate Conjurer

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. Select anywhere on the loading screen to bring up the welcome screen. On the welcome screen, select the play button at the center to load the level selection screen. From there, select an unlocked level’s number to begin.

Select any of the crates to have the witch take it out. The witch’s magic can hit any of the crates unimpeded.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Help the witch bring the jack o’ lantern down safely to the bottom-most platform by helping guide the witch’s magic to remove the crates in the proper order. Ideally, the crates should be removed in such a way that they do not send the jack o’ lantern in harm’s way. Should the jack o’ lantern fall off a platform and into the abyss, you fail the level and must restart.

Once the lantern hits the bottom-most platform, a timer bar appears above it. The bar appears only when the lantern stops moving. If it starts moving again, the bar will disappear until everything settles down. The crate must remain completely still until the timer bar expires; once it does, you’ve cleared the level.

Crates can come in the more stable square shapes and less stable round ones. You can only remove wooden crates with the witch’s magic. Stone blocks are past her abilities. Round stones roll, which gives them significantly more momentum when released. Use the round stones to push the lantern where it needs to go. TNT crates will create extra momentum just by exploding. Be sure to select them at the right time to give the lantern the push it needs.

The game has 25 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. You can come back and replay any of the levels you’ve previously beaten. Your web browser automatically saves your level progress.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Analyze the layout of the level and try to figure out the best course of action based on the position of each item. Remember, each item, when removed, will affect the lantern differently. Removing one crate in the wrong spot may send the lantern tumbling into the abyss, while selecting items at the wrong order may cause the you to overshoot and end up sending the lantern off course.
