Classic Solitaire is a simple take on Klondike Solitaire. Your task is to move the cards around the tableau and arrange them in alternating colors to free them up. Build up the cards in orderly piles per suite from ace to king to finish the game.

How to Play Classic Solitaire

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. Select Play on the bottom left corner of the welcome screen to begin.

Select a card or run of cards, then drag and drop it anywhere valid to move it.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Basic Rules

The game is a single-deck version of Klondike Solitaire. The tableau is divided into 7 increasingly long columns; the first column has one card and each subsequent column has one more column than the previous. The bottom cards of each column are face up and the rest are face down. Meanwhile, the 4 empty foundation piles appear on the top right corner. The 24 remaining cards you can deal are found on a pile on the top left corner.

Your goal is to arrange cards in the foundation piles according to their suites from ace to king. To do that, you must move the cards around the tableau and create runs in descending order and in alternating colors. Deal in new cards one at a time as needed. Empty out the columns whenever you can to make way for kings; only kings and runs with kings can be placed on empty columns.

Keep arranging the cards while you build up the foundation piles. For much of the game, you can manually drag the cards to the foundation piles. Once a card is in the pile, it cannot be removed. When you’ve uncovered every face down card, the game automatically solves the puzzle for you.

You can lose the game if you run out of moves.

Scoring

You earn between 5 and 20 points for every move you make.

• Moving cards from one run to the next is 5 points.
• Moving an ace to the foundation pile is 20 points.
• Moving a card to the foundation pile is 10 points.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Focus your attention on revealing face down cards in the early game. Choose moves that help open up the cards in the columns as much as you can. Uncover the longest stacks first. These can help reveal more useful cards that you can use to create more runs.

One good opening move is to deal in the first card. This will allow you to gain more options at the start of the game.

Think carefully about what king you place in each empty column you create. Ideally, you should choose a king of a color that reflects the number of jacks and queens you can immediately
