How to Play Christmas Chain

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select on the play button to begin a new session. If you reload the game, select the double play button to center right of the welcome screen to open the level selection screen, and the single play button on the center left to clear your progress and start again.

Select anywhere onscreen to shoot a ball in that direction.

Basic Gameplay Advice

You begin with Santa standing at a pedestal, with the current ball on his right hand and the next ball on his left. Santa will toss the current ball at any place you select. Shoot balls at the encroaching train of Christmas balls on the track and form groups of 3 or more identical balls to clear them. Clear all of the balls from the track to beat the level. You will fail if any one of the balls reaches the hole at the end of the track.

Each ball you clear is worth 50 points; you earn a minimum of 150 points for every group you clear from the ball train. After finishing the level, you receive an extra 100 points for every remaining section of the track that the train of balls never got to pass through. Your score is cumulative and carries over through every level you play.

The game has 13 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. The game’s difficulty ramps up significantly as you progress through each level with more complex tracks and faster ball trains. Each time you fail the level, you can replay it and continue.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

You can see both your current and next balls. Plan ahead and choose a location for your next ball before you toss your current one.

We recommend focusing your aim at the front of the ball train. This will help keep the train short and delay its march much more effectively. Be especially careful when shooting at corners, as you can easily miss and send the ball flying to an unintended spot.

If there is a clear part of the level where the train isn’t yet present, consider shooting the balls you can’t easily use in that direction to refresh the ones you can.
