Chicken Plane is a simple platform collecting game. You take control of a chicken, a bird that’s infamous for being a very poor flier. Move around the level and collect the missing eggs, then return to the next.

How to Play Chicken Plane

To select, left click with your mouse. Select the play button at the center of the welcome screen to load the level selection screen. Choose a level to begin.

With your keyboard, press the left and right arrow keys to move horizontally. Press the spacebar to jump; press and hold down the space bar to glide. Cling to the sides of the wall by pressing the arrow key that corresponds to the nearest wall while holding down the space bar. Jump off the wall by pressing the arrow key on the side opposite of the wall. You can move horizontally or vertically while gliding by pressing the space bar.

Although this game loads on touchscreen devices, its controls were optimized for desktops with keyboards.

Basic Gameplay Advice

The game has 23 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. You can replay any of the levels you’ve already beaten.

Retrieve all 3 eggs scattered across the level. Once you’ve picked up all the eggs, move back to the nest that appears somewhere in the level to complete it. The next is usually located where you began.

Avoid touching the spikes and enemies. Spikes are stationary and can be avoided with ease. Meanwhile, enemies move in a set pattern; you must time your jumps with care to avoid them entirely. Each time you do, you must start each level at the beginning.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

The game has two types of vertical climbs: walls and shafts. Shafts are relatively easy to climb. Simply jump from one side to the next and back again. To climb up walls, stick to the wall, then glide away from the wall for a very short period before turning around and returning to the wall. Moving away from the wall will give you some altitude; do not glide too far to maximize the height you achieve with every jump.

If you’re ever in a shaft that has a spiked roof, don’t climb up too high. Moving up too high may cause you to get dangerously close to the spikes when you do hop off the wall.

Glide down to slow your descent. This can help you safely navigate areas with a lot of spikes.
