How to Play Cannon Minimal

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select the play button to open the level selection screen. Select an unlocked level’s number to begin.

Select the left and right adjustment buttons on the bottom left corner to adjust the angle of the cannon. Select and hold the shoot button on the bottom right corner to charge your shot. Release to shoot.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Adjust the angle of the cannon to line up its arc to the basket, then adjust the shot strength before shooting. To win, the ball must land inside the basket.

The game has 20 stages, which are unlocked sequentially. You can replay any of the levels you’ve beaten. Your web browser automatically saves your level progress.

Some levels present unique challenges to them. Many levels feature walls you must shoot past. Likewise, there are levels that have thinner wooden barriers. You must either bounce your shots off them or shoot over them. These barriers may spin, which adds another element of difficulty in landing the shots. At times, these may only let the ball pass if they spin in the correct direction. Baskets themselves may not be stationary.

You have no shot limit. Feel free to shoot as many times as you need to finish the level.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

The cannon’s angle does not change from shot to shot unless you do so manually. It’s important that you set the angle of the cannon correctly as soon as you can so you only need to change one thing with every shot. By only changing one item at a time you make it easy to see how further changes impact your shot. For example, if you are just short at 36% power and try again at 42% power without changing the angle you can see how much a small adjustment in power impacts your shot. Similarly you can use the position of moving objects to adjust your timing.

You won’t always be able to shoot the ball directly into the basket. In these cases, consider adjusting the angle of the cannot to roll the ball down the platform or bounce it off another object before going into the basket.

If you’re struggling with shooting into a moving basket or getting it to a different direction, consider shooting several times in the hopes of using one ball to bounce another in the appropriate direction.
