How to Play Cake Design

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select the play button to begin.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Basic Rules

Your goal is to serve each customer exactly the kind of cake they asked for as quickly as you can. Meet the score target shown at the bottom of the screen before the timer expires to beat the level. As the timer comes to a close, a message saying “hurry up” appears onscreen. Earn the score quota before the timer expires.

Assembling the cake has six stages, which are all found at the bottom of the screen. Select the appropriate sequence of stages to create the cake. These are as follows:

• Cake shape and number of layers
• Cream filling between layers
• Icing on the sides
• Icing on top
• Decoration
• Centerpiece

Select the check button on the right to accept the stage and move to the next one and the X button to undo a step. Every customer will demand something different, and it’s up to you to make sure you serve them exactly what they want.

The first level acts as a tutorial for the game. Levels are unlocked sequentially and increase in difficulty as you go along. The amount of time also increases along with your quota.

Satisfaction & Scoring

Customers have a limited amount of patience. The longer you make them wait, the angrier they will get. This is evident in their body language. First, they tap their fingers. Then, they will scowl while tapping. Finally, they will snarl angrily at you as they tap rapidly. Once their patience runs out, they will angrily leave in a huff and refuse to pay you even if you do manage to give them the cake.

The number of points (expressed in dollars) you earn per cake depends on its size and the speed you deliver it. As a rule, the faster you serve the cake, the higher your score will be. Bigger cakes are also worth more than smaller cakes. You will only get paid if you serve a cake exactly as the customer demands.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Although this is a timed game, one crucial aspect of winning is accuracy. It’s better to fulfill a cake order correctly than it is to do it quickly. Customers will still pay for a cake that’s running late but will not pay for an incorrect cake at all. Don’t hesitate to double check before finishing a step.

That said, try to double check everything quickly. Deliver correct cakes before your customers lose all their patience.

Look at the ingredients with care. Many of them look deceptively alike.
