Biker Lane Game Review

Biker Lane Game Background

Biker Lane is a 2D horizontal motorcycle-riding game. Control your speed and trajectory and get to the end of each course as quickly as you can without crashing. MarketJS published this game.

How to Play Biker Lane

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. On the welcome screen, select Play below the game’s title at the center of the screen to load the level selection screen. Choose a level to begin.

On a desktop, control the motorcycle with your keyboard. Press the X key to accelerate and press the Z key to hit the brakes. Press the left arrow to lean back or rotate counterclockwise and press the right arrow to lean forward or rotate clockwise.

On a touchscreen device, tap on the onscreen controls on the bottom row to control the motorcycle. The rotate clockwise and counterclockwise buttons are found on the bottom left corner while the accelerator and brake are found on the bottom right corner.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Your goal is to reach the end of the stage as fast as you can without wrecking. Move as quickly and as carefully as you can possibly go. When jumping off ramps, tilt your motorbike at the correct angle to ensure that you land safely.

Stages don’t always have a single path. There can be two paths (a lower and an upper one) toward the checkered finish line, and the faster one may not always be the obvious one.

Level Star Ratings

The game has 20 stages, which are unlocked sequentially. You can replay any of the levels you’ve previously beaten. Each level has a star rating, which is based on how fast you finish the level. Finishing the level at all will automatically grant you at least one star; finishing faster will increase your star rating.

Your star rating for a level will only change if you beat the level faster than your previous best by enough of a margin to make the next threshold. Stages of the game get harder as you advance, so it is best to play through all 20 levels and then come back to stages with a lower rating to replay them again after having completed the game.

Bike Types

The game’s bike store unlocks a modest collection of bike variants. These include:

  • An elderly woman on a scooter (unlocked at 9 stars)
  • A cop on a police bike (unlocked at 20 stars)
  • A Harley Davidson-style bike (unlocked at 35 stars)
  • A sports bike (unlocked at 45 stars)

Unlike most other motorbike physics games, the differences between the bike variants are aesthetic. They perform fairly similarly to one another.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

In some cases you need to go slower on one ramp so you land earlier on the downside and have more time to build up speed to make the next jump. Sometimes a tire barely touches the platform and you have to rotate the bike clockwise forward to pull it up onto the platform.

When playing levels with multiple paths, see where each one takes you. You may find that getting to the upper path will bring you to the finish line faster. Be careful when jumping, though, as some jumps could cause you to hit your head or fly past the finish line without hitting it.

You will lose if you overjump the finish line. When approaching the end of the level, you may need to slow down to hit the flags.

Educational Aspects

This game tests a player’s reaction times, dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.

Player Age Recommendations

This game is suited for older school-aged players and above. We recommend this game for fans of motorcycle driving games.
