How to Play Baccarat

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. The game begins automatically.

Select on the outcome you want to bet on. To place a wager, select the number of chips you want to bet. Once you’re done, select the deal button to begin.

Hands

The game is played with 8 decks of 52 cards, shuffled before the start of each round. Your task is to predict which hand between the player or the banker will yield the highest value or if the game ends in a tie. The game begins with the player and banker dealing either two or three starting cards. Two cards are dealt first; if either the player or the banker receive an 8 or 9, no further cards are dealt. This combination is considered natural.

If neither of them receives an 8 or 9, they must follow these rules:

• If the player’s cards have a value between 0 and 5, they are dealt a third card. They stand, if they have a hand value of 6 or 7.
• If the player stands, the banker draws a third card if their hand value is between 0 and 5.
• If the player draws another card, the value of that card (and that of the banker’s hand) determines if the banker draws a third card.
  • If the player draws an 8, the banker gets another card if their hand has a value of 2 or less.
  • If the player draws a 9 or a 1, the banker gets another card if their hand has a value of 3 or less.
  • If the player draws a 7 or 6, the banker gets another card if their hand has a value of 6 or less.

The winning hand is one whose value equals or is closest to nine. If both hands have an equal value, the game ends in a tie. If a hand’s value is 10 or more, you must subtract 10 from it (e.g. a 10 will have a value of 0, an 11 a value of 1, and so on).

The value of the cards vary from each type. The face cards (king, queen, jack) and 10 have a value of 0. Aces have a value of 1, and the value of cards 2 through 9 are based on their face value.

Betting

You begin the game with a starting balance of $10. Your current balance appears on the top left corner of the screen.

Select an outcome, the select the betting chips on the bottom center before the start of the dealing phase of the game to place your bets. You place your bets on multiple outcomes, allowing you to hedge your bets if you feel like it. You can bet different amounts on each of the available outcomes.

The chips come in denominations of 10 cents, 50 cents, $1, $5, and $10. The maximum bid for the game will be $10 regardless of how much you end up winning. Use the arrows to scroll around the chips. Use varying combinations of chips to get the bet value you want.

Once you’ve made a bet, you can select another outcome to bet on or select deal on the right side of the game to begin. The game will play out and will let you know which outcome wins. Afterward, you can choose to bet the original amount or select new bets to wager more. Keep track of the past four betting outcomes by looking at this history chart on the bottom right corner.

The game is slightly in the banker’s favor, so each time you win, you will receive a 5% commission.
