2048 Hexa Game Background

2048 Hexa is a number merging game inspired by the original 2048. Move around and merge hexagonal numbered tiles of identical value to create tiles of a greater value. Keep moving and merging tiles for as long as you can until you form the 2048 tile.

How to Play 2048 Hexa

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. The game is immediately playable once it loads for the first time. Playing the game subsequently requires you to select a grid from those you’ve already unlocked before you begin.

Select and swipe in the desired direction to move all the tiles at once. Alternatively, you can select the buttons on the bottom center to move the tiles.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Like in standard 2048, you must move the tiles around to merge them and generate new tiles. Identically valued numbers tiles merge to form one that’s twice the value. Repeat the process as often as you can until you form the 2048 tile. The game ends when you run out of space to move.

Once it’s game over, select the home button to return to the welcome screen or select the reset button to play again using the same grid.

As you generate numbers, you also unlock more grids to play in. The game has four grids in total, of which only one is unlocked and readily playable when loading it for the first time.

Unlike most 2048-inspired games this game does not keep score. Your goal is to form the largest tile.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

The key to effectively forming the largest number is to keep the arrangement of the tiles as orderly as possible. Try to keep your movement restricted toward a single point in the screen, thus reducing your movement to directions that move toward it. For instance, if you form your largest tile on the bottom, move the tiles only toward the bottom and seldom toward the top.

Where the best corner will be varies on your personal preferences and chosen grid. For the default grid, we generally recommend forming the largest tile at the bottom.

To prevent eye strain, select the light button on the top right corner of the game screen to toggle night mode.
